Good bullets for reloading and hunting deer and black bear?

Im going to reload and I wanted to know what everyone thinks is the best bullet. I heard Nosler partitions are very good for deer and bear. What about E-Tips? I have a 7mm rem mag and I'll be shooting 150gr. around 3200 fps. I need a bullet to expand in deer and penetrate in bearGood bullets for reloading and hunting deer and black bear?
So many different bullets out there available today, that it is harder to choose a good bullet than the cartridge it seems! Now, deer and black bear are both considered CXP2 game animals. That is, they are light framed, have thin muscles and bones, and weigh less than say 500 lbs on the hoof. Having said this, it means you don't need a tough bullet because it simply might not expand adequately on animals of this class. So let's rule out some choices right off the bat.

You won't need:

Nosler Accubond

Core-Lokt Ultra

Hornady Interbond

(Don't get me wrong, these are all EXCELLENT big game bullets that have proven themselves, but they are too tough in construction for deer/bear.)

Some choices you might wanna consider:

Core-Lokt

Power-Point

Nosler Ballistic Tip

Nosler Partition (150 grain or lower)

Swift Scirocco

Winchester XP3

Barnes TSX

Hornady SST

These bullets are made for deer/bear size game (with the exeption of the TSX and XP3, which can be used for pretty much any big game)

That is just my input. Another thing to consider is that the 7 Mag pushes lead fast, so you'll need a bulet that holds up at close range.

Good luck on your reloads, and remember, shot placement is the most important factor in ';killing power.'; Even if you use the most powerful cartridge you can get your hands on, all that power means nothing if you can't put the bullet where it needs to be.Good bullets for reloading and hunting deer and black bear?
Federals 165 grain is a trusted bullet for either one of these, and that's for a reason. It has good stopping capability and nice expansion. If you want to use E-tips, go ahead but I'm not going to tell you what to do with that one. The use of E-tips is debated so much that I'll just tell you that I use them, but you can decide for yourself whether you wanna use them or not. Happy hunting!
I've had no problem with Federals 165 gr. on either species. Great bullet and really does a nice job...
ever try barnes?
