What state in the continental u.s. is the overall best for deer hunting?

i live in georgia and am considering taking a once in a lifetime hunting trip(for whitetail deer) and i was wanting to get some opinions on which state, preferable a northern state, has the highest deer population, most quality bucks, best scenery, etc. What state in the continental u.s. is the overall best for deer hunting?
Northern Missouri (i'm biased), Iowa, Kansas, Illinois(shotgun only). What state in the continental u.s. is the overall best for deer hunting?
I would say michigan, it has increased population of deer and the wilderness allows for large population. Also, in the fall Michigan's u.p. has the best fall colors, amazing views things like pictured rock and on state land (where I hunt and there is tons of it), there is tons of perfect views to see about 10 just on the way up through I-75 called scenic views and they are easy to spot by signs. Also, on tuesday when i came back, the mackinaw bridge toll person said since opening (4 days earlier) she has had 900 deer pass through one toll area. (yes, I am from Michigan)
Pike co. Illinois is the ';big deer'; capital of the US. Kansas has massive deer. Michigan has probably the highest deer population. All these states are good to harvest a big buck. The most important decision you can make is an outfitter to go with. Do your research! Dont pick the first one you find, look over it and plan it good. But these few states are some good starting grounds. just yahoo search ';deer in pike co. Illinois'; etc. Good luck
I live in Kansas and I can attest that we do have some monster bucks. I always hear that Iowa has the biggest overall.
