i am thinking of getting a baby deer and raise it to find other deers.Is the best thing to find deer during hunting a deer?

Ok, enough with the english lesson.





My father and uncles caught some fawns (baby deer) when they were boys. They raised them to be adult bucks and does. The trouble is, they eventually ran off and since they did not have a natural fear of humans, some neglectful hunters shot the deer (even though they were wearing red collars and were clearly pet deer). But, there's nothing you can do about it, since most states say that a person can not claim ownership of many species of wild animals.





Also, my dad told me stories of a young buck (male) that they raised. In it's second year, it grew antlers and during the mating season (rut) it would become rather hostile toward everyone. Buck deer during the mating season can be very dangerous and could injure a person seriously or possibly even cause death. Watch the YouTube video of a man attacked by a wild deer (one that had a natural fear of humans!) and you can see how dangerous it could be to raise a deer that did not have such a natural fear of humans.



G'day mate,it sounds like a dumb idea but my friend own a deer farm and he has a big fence that's covers his hole property.Because he has doe's in there and when on heat it brings the wild bucks out of the Forest.So that's would work but i don't think you would have to go to that desperate measure to get a deer.cheers mate
Not only is this a pretty dumb idea, and wouldn't work, in most states it's illegal to own a wild animal like a deer without a permit. Just find deer the way the rest of us do - either learn to track them, or place a blind near a game trail and wait.
you would be wise to leave deer alone.. they are a wild animal not pets... if you want to help with wildlife locate a nature preserve near your home.


Also you might want to research more about Deer... I am going to give you a lesson right now... the plural for Deer is Deer..
