How is deer hunting fun?

I mean i always hear my friends talk about how fun it is but what's the fun in sitting in a stand for hours waiting for a deer to come out?How is deer hunting fun?
To each his own as the saying goes. It's all about what you like to do and what gives you pleasure. I'm sure there's lots of folks who think watching a bunch of spoiled rotten millionaire athletes run around a grassy field is pretty boring. What if after spending all that cash on tickets to see that ';best team money can buy'; they lose the game? How is that fun? I hope you get it now I know you thought you were being cleaver when you asked this question but you knew all along that in this world it's different strokes for different folks and if you are critical about what people choose to do then people may choose to be critical of you as well. It is in the Hunting or Pursuit of the Game Animal that is most Fun and Enjoyable to us True Hunters, not the killing of it.* Its also about just being outdoors in the woods, fields, swamps, brooks, streams etc.*...
I understand it and accept it as a vital form of culling, plus I respect hunter that do it for the sport and utilize the meat of their kills. But, I'm not one for being out in nature.
Well if you have lived a pampered life with mommy waiting on you while playing video games daily....in your cozy apt and your clothes washed for you and your meals cooked for you and toothpaste put on your toothbrush for you..............getting cold or damp out in nature hunting will make your scream for mommy.

When your in the woods and it's dark all is quiet..When the dawn comes and the woods are waking up..birds chirping for the first time that day..squirrels are stirring then chasing each other (which can be quite comical) there's just nothing like it. The woods are alive..you get a front row seat...look there's a bobcat..hmm..did I see the brush move some...lol...look in the grey dawn a beautiful 8 point buck..click (safety)...BANG...boy he's a good one...





Even when you don't get a shot it's wonderful..just being there rejuvenates my soul. No pressures..no one there asking questions I don't or can't answer...I'm not at work..and my wife still loves me and I her..





It gives me a chance to slow down..get a grip...see life for what it is..a wonderful gift..and so was that buck..thanks Mike ..my dear departed brother..rest in peace
Hunting is a hobby, and alot of people like it. Working a gun is fun, and if you have ever tasted back strap from a deer, you will think its fun to. Just like people say running track is fun. Whats the fun of running for half a year?
It is a challenge! I love waiting for anything to come! It is SO much fun! Hunting demands patience! Get used to it!!!
All aspects of hunting are a way of life for me. Deer from the wood or hill, Pheasant and Partridge from the Hedgerow and Fowl off the Solway. It gets me away from my desk.

You need to experience it, but really it involves inteacting with nature at a very primitive level...something the brain is hard-wired to find pleasurable.
It's fun even if the deer never show up!





For people that have become too soft in their modern lifestyle and who can't appreciate being in nature, it's probably no fun at all.
