If you find a dead animal in the road (like deer) who can you call to clear it off the road?

Animal control or if it is interfering with traffic or a hazard, you can actually call 911 and they will dispatch a truck to clear it.

You could also call the non-emergency number for the local police if it is not blocking or interfering with traffic and they will either handle it of direct you to the department that does.

I thought I was the only one that cared about things like this. Thanks for showing me humanity is not lost.If you find a dead animal in the road (like deer) who can you call to clear it off the road?
your state highway departmentIf you find a dead animal in the road (like deer) who can you call to clear it off the road?
Where I live a person can usually call the Sheriff or Game Warden. We in the country and it pretty laid back and people not get technical over who supposed to do it. Usually I just do it, if it large like a deer, being careful not to get run over by someone.
China King all you can eat restaurant.
The DOT - if it is on a state highway

The county garage if it is on county maintained roads.

The Dept of natural resources if they are available.

Or get ahold of Jed Klampett - possum stew
Animal control, the town or city hall could help direct you, or a non emergency number that calls the police.
Santa or if he,s busy the highways dept
The redneck restaurant
In our town the highway department clears the crushed critters.
You can call the non-emergency line to have a police officer come out and clean it up because its obstructing traffic.
Where I live the DNR is in charge of that.
