Scopes are one of those things where you get what you pay for. Spend as much money as you are comfortable with and you will be fine. I prefer variable scopes by Nikon or Leopold but I have othe makers as well.

In my opinion Leupold scopes are the best out there, but are best used for hunting at long ranges. If you hunt in a wooded area or at a close range, any scope, or even open sights, will work.What is a good deer scope for deer hunting?
Swarovski, Zeiss, Nikon, Leupold are all good choices
It depends on where your hunting, some areas a narrower scope will help, etc. And ??? some people kill people for fun (criminals)
